Build, test, grow: Versa's evolving enterprise

Finding brand clarity through patience, proof, and partnership
Designed to evolve and endure
Enterprise tech doesn't make life easy for marketing leaders – people come and go and strategies can get left behind. Dan is no stranger to this.

As an agency we take the long view. We know that enterprise websites go through phases – in fact we've been working with Dan for a decade across multiple companies, building strong systems designed to outlast us.
Work is better with a partner
The job of a CMO is hard. Expectations & scrutiny are high, disruptive technologies keep reshaping marketing strategies, and there’s often a disconnect between what a CMO is tasked to do and what authority and budget they’ve got to work with.
In our partnership with Versa, we’ve made it our goal to help Dan fill in whatever gaps he’s dealing with at any moment – from tech stack research, project management, creative strategy, and beyond – because the less Dan has to worry about execution, the more he can focus on alignment.
Challenge
Every department moves at its own pace, with different priorities and different definitions of success.
Approach
We work within the system – adopting existing tools, pushing the boundaries, connecting teams, and building momentum.
Building on a brownfield
Versa's website reflected years of layered initiatives from multiple teams – new content sat next to outdated pages, the design style was inconsistent from section to section, and new pages were overwhelming the site navigation.
When Dan brought us on, the first thing we did was a comprehensive website audit that covered user experience, architecture, tech stack, and design. Over time we’ve referred back to this initial document – supporting Dan and his team, sprint by sprint, as those strategies took shape.
Challenge
Years of accumulated changes had left the site with unclear structure and fragmented brand expression.
Approach
Our audit of the site became the roadmap for improvements.
A different path forward
Dan brought in a respected outside agency to create a compelling brand vision for Versa, however, Versa’s executive team had reservations about these strategies so they never made it out of the deck.
So Qontour's work as a partner continued – we took the best of what that outside agency had created, built on what resonated, evolved the style with the internal team, and focused on maintaining Dan's momentum.
Challenge
A rebrand can be a significant investment, but will it work?
Approach
We picked up on some partially finished work and found a path forward.
Strategy informs solutions
Everyone agreed the brand and site needed work, but we were going to need a new approach. Dan moved our focus to messaging – if we could experiment, we could show some measurable results and start shifting the dynamic.
Together we ran a series of tests on brand ads and landing pages, based on direct input from the board. The results included some strong signals which gave leadership what they needed: evidence that change didn't have to mean risk.
Challenge
When the usual path doesn't work, what can you do?
Approach
We leveraged input from the board of directors and turned it into new, measurable experiments around brand messaging & style.
From the inside, out
With collaboration strong across the C-suite, Dan could build the team he needed. Once he had a VP of Corporate Marketing and a Creative Director in place, momentum picked up fast.
We built a real design system – reliable, flexible, and built to last – where experimentation is part of the process. Alongside that, we implemented custom schema for AEO across the entire site. The rest of the company could see what the marketing team already knew – that work like this makes a real difference.
Challenge
With internal support and strategy in place, can we build fast enough?
Approach
Qontour’s team is built around strategy and systematic execution – we listen and put our resources behind Versa’s vision.
What we delivered
Adopted and optimized existing tools for the marketing team – less time managing workflows, more time doing the work.

Adopted and optimized existing tools for the marketing team – less time managing workflows, more time doing the work.

A system the marketing team can modify, extend, and experiment with – without waiting on us or anyone else.

We implemented a series of tests – new messaging, new layouts, new imagery, new formats. The team runs experiments, measures results, and scales what works.

Where Versa is now
The right team
The right people in the right seats – their team pushes from the inside while we support from the outside.
Trust from the top
Leadership trusts Dan's vision – and marketing is empowered to make it happen.
Always exploring
The tools and systems are in place to keep testing – the team decides what's next.
Systems, not shortcuts
The groundwork we laid is now the system they're building on.

Questions? Queries?
We work within the system, not around it. At Versa, we adopted existing tools, connected teams across departments, and built momentum without disrupting what was already in place. Enterprise work requires patience and political awareness – we've navigated multi-stakeholder environments for years.
That's more common than you'd think. At Versa, an initial rebrand effort was terminated before implementation because leadership wasn't ready. Instead of starting over, we took the best of what was produced and kept moving forward – running experiments that gave leadership confidence that change could work.
Yes. We built Versa's design system to be modifiable, reliable, and able to pivot as the market shifts. It maintains brand consistency across 40+ pages and 6 regions while giving the marketing team flexibility to experiment and iterate.
We start with a comprehensive audit. Versa's site reflected years of layered changes from multiple teams. Our audit became the foundation for incremental improvements. We define what exists, what works, and what needs to change before touching anything.
Our partnership with Versa spans different phases over multiple years – from support to experimentation to implementation. Each phase built on the last. Long-term means we understand your business deeply, maintain institutional knowledge, and adapt as your team and strategy evolve.
